\]Wellness Coaching is a relatively new approach to health accountability that encompasses a few dimensions of a person's life. We are used to reading that wellness only encompasses physical, mental, and emotional well-being. But it is a bit more detailed as it includes, occupational, spiritual, social, intellectual, environmental, movements and financial.
Wellness isn't being FREE of disease, it is a state of being in which individuals feel their best and are able to thrive in their everyday lives. That means we are able to handle stress, plan our daily movement and actually learn to eat nutritiously. It's not perfection, it's self-care.
Wellness is a journey and does not have a defined endpoint, as life is always fluctuating and is sometimes full of twists and turns. With the right guidance and support, it is possible to learn the skills necessary to make long-lasting changes that lead to a more fulfilling and healthy life.
This is specifically why I developed my wellness coaching Program- Real Talk with Coach Ria- Virtual Group Wellness Coaching. Don't know me yet? Head on over to my Instagram so we can know each other better!
I truly feel that group coaching is a unique and effective way to improve overall health and well-being by leveraging the power of other like-minded women, and community and creating social support. Get inspired by other women that have similar thoughts and are possibly on the same journey as yourself with weekly calls where loosely structured agendas are set.
In group coaching, individual strengths come together to develop client-centered plans and specific journeys. When led by a qualified coach, everyone's plan is kept in consideration. Sharing personal fitness experiences and struggles with others who are going through similar journeys is encouraged. This truly creates a supportive environment where individuals can learn from each other, gain valuable knowledge and skills, and stay motivated on their journey to wellness.
Group coaching typically involves a structured approach to goal setting and creating a plan to achieve those goals. An agenda can look like a 5-minute introduction, 10 minute guided mindful meditation, a journal review and a discussion on selected topics. The coach works with the group to identify areas that may need to be explored further or situations that may need to be referred out to a qualified physician or mental health professional. The coach will ensure that the individuals in the group can set achievable goals that align with their own values and resources. The qualified coach provides guidance and support throughout the process, helping individuals stay on track and make progress toward their own special vision of wellness.
Group coaching is a fun and engaging way to stay accountable and improve your overall health and wellness, creating a sense of camaraderie and community. It is often more affordable than one-on-one coaching, making it accessible to a wider range of people. Additionally, the social support provided by group coaching can improve mental health by reducing stress and anxiety, and increasing feelings of social connectedness.
In summary, wellness is a holistic approach to health that encompasses MORE than just physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Group coaching is a unique and effective way to achieve your wellness goals by leveraging the power of a qualified health coach with social support. Having a structured approach to goal setting and truly focusing on what is important to you will help you remain accountable.
