I know I sound like a broken record, and if you follow me on Instagram you know how much I discuss habits.
It's almost 2023 and I know that you're starting to think about how you FAILED at x, y, or z this year.
You're putting that in the universe, first off, and secondly, well, you did NOT.
Let's reflect.
You did not fail, you did not develop the habit.
Remember that it's not motivation that will help you along in your journey, it's the small habits you've developed over time that will support you.
Real talk.
I didn't want to go to the gym today.
I didn't want to hit my steps nor be active.
I wanted to lie in my PJs and watch Christmas movies.
All day.
But I have a habit of going to the gym at 5 am.
I've been doing it for a few years now.
I built this habit out of sheer necessity at first, but now it is something I do.
If I don't go at 5 am, you best believe it's later on that morning.
Habits are built with consistency.
Let's master habit-building in 2023.
Some tips to help you.
1. Start small. Trying to take on too much at once is a surefire way to fail.
2. Make it realistic. Don’t try to overhaul your entire lifestyle overnight.
3. Get specific. The more specific you are with this new habit the better. 4. Write it down/tell someone about it. 5. Attach it to something you already do!
You CAN do anything you put your mind to! Believe in yourself this year, you will make they changes you have always wanted to. I can be your guide.
